A La Turka
7.24.08 I think we all decided this was some of the best hummus ever… but their air conditioning system? One of the worst, if there even was one.  I don’t know if yellow air blowers count.  I think it’s also safe to say that none of us will ever moonlight as belly dancers.

O'Donovan's
5.21.08 O’Donovan’s on Irving Park.  We hoped to sit in their nice beer garden, but apparently that wasn’t opened yet because it wasn’t warm enough yet.  So after we were seated inside, we asked to sit outside in their OTHER outdoor eating area. But then we sulked back inside (to the same table) a half hour later when we were all freezing. Whoops.

April 25, 2008 We braved the torrential downpour to make it to Iggy’s on Dearborn for some delicious martinis and food.  Then we went out… but I don’t remember where since I’m writing this three months late. Whoops.

Carnivale
March 25, 2008 This month brought us to Carnivale, home of amazing guacamole, over-anxious busboys taking our appetizer plates way early (and therefore preventing us from ordering more of said amazing guacamole), a very cute waiter, extremely potent caipirinhas (aiding in Anna’s brilliant plan of leaving the cute waiter her phone number) and conversations of goat cheese puree and butternut...
